No. You can record, edit and export without one. You only need an account for cloud backup and to subscribe.

Any iPhone with iOS 17.2 or later. A few features need iOS 18, like listening to music from another app while you record. Lessi Cam is made for iPhone, and it isn’t available for Mac or Android.

Hold the record button to record and let go to stop. Prefer tapping? Switch to tap mode: one tap starts, another stops. Every recording becomes a numbered take inside your project, saved automatically.

A project is what lives in your library, with its takes, cuts, color and captions. A video is the final file you export and post.

On your iPhone: these are your local videos. With cloud backup on (Pro and Pro+), copies also go to the Lessi cloud as cloud projects.

While the camera waits between takes, it shows a see-through ghost of the last frame of your previous take, so you can line up the next one. It disappears as soon as you start recording.

Write your script in blocks of up to three lines. While you record, move to the next block when you’re ready: nothing scrolls on its own. Your captions can follow the script later.

Yes. The volume button starts and stops recording, just like the record button.

Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Plug in a USB-C drive and choose Record to card in your library. Projects that live on the drive show up whenever it’s connected.

Yes, on Pro and Pro+. Turn on Landscape mode in Settings.

Open a project to see its takes. Drag to reorder, swipe left to delete or right to duplicate, and open a take to trim its start and end or split it in two.

Yes. At the bottom of the take list, pull up to reveal Recover deleted takes.

Correct the color of the whole project, or of a single take, and compare it with the original. Free includes the basic adjustments; Pro and Pro+ unlock the full set.

In the audio tools, hold to record your voice over the takes. Each recording joins the previous one, and you can undo the last one.

On Pro and Pro+. Import your own music from the Files app or Google Drive into your Music library, then choose where it starts in each project. Lessi Cam doesn’t include a music catalog.

To the Trash, where they stay for 30 days before they’re deleted for good. Projects stored on an external drive stay in the Trash until you delete them yourself.

Lessi Cam transcribes your voice on your iPhone, so your audio never leaves the device. Choose the language of the video, generate the captions, then fix any word and adjust the timing.

Any language your iPhone can transcribe on the device. You choose the language for each project.

Yes. You can write captions by hand, or generate them again for a single take.

Keep Show captions on before exporting. Captions also go into the ZIP as a .srt file.

To your camera roll, in up to 4K, with no watermark.

Only final videos. Exporting a ZIP with your takes, or a complete project, doesn’t count.

Go to Account & projects › Export all projects. You get a ZIP folder with all your projects, archived ones included. It’s free, with or without a plan.

Export it as a Complete project, send the file to the other iPhone and open it with Import project in the library.

Tap the account button in your library, then Create an account. Your password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a number and a special character.

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. We’ll email you a six-digit code to set a new one.

In Lessi Cam, go to Account & projects › Account settings › Delete account. Your account and everything in the cloud are permanently deleted after 30 days; sign in again before then to keep it. Your local videos stay on your iPhone. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel it first.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Lessi Cam › Cancel Subscription.

Sign in to your Lessi account on our website and cancel it there. Web subscriptions open at launch.

Nothing is deleted right away. Your plan works until the end of the period you paid for. After that, you have 30 days to download your cloud backup before it’s removed. Your local videos keep working as always.

Go to Account & projects › Your plan and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Lessi account you used to subscribe.

Yes. Moving up to Pro+ applies right away. Moving down to Pro applies at your next renewal.

For subscriptions bought in the app, refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For subscriptions bought on our website, write to us.

No. The app has no ads and no analytics or tracking tools.

Without an account, nothing. With cloud backup on, your projects go to the Lessi cloud. Captions are always made on the device.
